Support the CAMP UNITY documentary project!

The CAMP UNITY documentary project has begun fundraising on IndieGoGo. Please visit http://www.indiegogo.com/CAMPUNITY to learn more about the film and how you can help support the film's July 2008 production in Kurdistan, Iraq.

CAMP UNITY is the story of music, dance, and theater students from different areas and ethno-religious backgrounds of Iraq attending an American performing arts academy in Erbil and Suleimanya, overcoming personal and cultural conflicts and improving their artistic skills and talents along the way.

Revolving around the events of the Unity Performing Arts Academy 2008, CAMP UNITY will follow a number of Iraqi students and American staff members who share their personal stories and experiences during this life-changing event. Interweaving interviews and footage of the major players, the film will explore the powerful impacts this innovative cultural exchange program has upon its participants as the Academy unfolds, challenges are faced, successes are acheived, and the final performance draws near.

CAMP UNITY is now seeking funds to apply towards critical equipment costs for shooting in Iraq. The crew will have one chance to film the project properly, with little chance of returning to Iraq for reshoots. We need your help to make the shoot go smoothly while we are on location, please check out the CAMP UNITY profile on IndieGoGo and help spread the word about this unique and innovative documentary project.
